Maggie Downie is a Pilates Instructor and the owner of Personal Euphoria. She has a B.A in history from Eastern Connecticut State University. She has been studying Pilates since 2002. She is certified in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Mat Pilates through STOTT PILATES®. Maggie has also taken courses in Pilates for breast cancer rehabilitation, and Pilates for pre and post-natal clients. She has also taken classes and trained under Pilates Elders Mary Bowen and Lolita San Miguel. Her enthusiastic, upbeat personality is effective in helping students become energized about health and wellness.

 

Jeannine has been studying Pilates since 2005.  She has a background in dance and studied under dance pioneer Truda Kaschmann, contemporary of Joseph Pilates.  She is certified through the School of the Hartford Ballet.  Jeannine has taught in a variety of venues to a number of different age groups.  She is a proud mother of two with a huge smile and a great laugh.Her healthy choices concerning wellness are sure to rub off.

 

Jessica has been studying Pilates since 2003.  She decided in the Fall of 2007 to share her love of Pilates by becoming an instructor.  Jessica has been active in fitness and athletics throughout her life.  She holds cheerleading clinics at the elementary school where she has taught first grade for the last eight years.   Jessica's sincere enthusiasm for life, Pilates, and people makes everyone feel comfortable under her instruction.

 

Katy has been studying pilates for two years. She loves how pilates lets her get a great work out while also lying down! Katy is an avid runner and incorporates pilates into her training as a way to enhance her entire body. She has completed two half-marathons and sees more on the horizon. Katy graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Psychology in 2009. Katy is kind and you are sure to enjoy a great workout during one of her classes.

 

Karen has been studying Pilates since 2006. She came to Connecticut in 2007 to get her Ph.D. in Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies from the University of Connecticut. Her sports background is in cycling, and she has found the core strength gained from her Pilates training to have done wonders for her cycling power (especially getting up those hills!). Her thoughtful demeanor is sure to put you at ease during class.

 

Fitness and wellness are an integral part of Susan's life. She has studied Pilates since 2006 and found Pilates training to be a wonderful addition to her strength and cardio workout program.  Susan believes that by making fitness fun participants are able to make a life change and a lifelong commitment to getting fit and staying fit. You will find Susan to be full of life and an enthusiastic instructor.

 
Donna is currently subbing at Personal Euphoria, so don't be surprised if you see her smiling face in one of your classes. She has been studying Pilates for two years and is a phenomenal example of incorporating fitness into daily life.
